Mad for Malcolm

Welcome to our “Dude-oir” series where we will feature the brave and bold men of The Full Monty.

Meet Malcolm McGregor. Malcolm is the quintessential nice guy. He likes to spend his free time making for friends, watching classic movies, and dancing with his mother (when she is well).

What’s your sign?
My mother says I am a Virgo, but I don’t know what that means.

How would you describe your personality?
I just love being around people. I only wish that they loved being around me too…

What is your ideal date?
I haven’t really gone on many dates, so I’m not sure. I guess that any date would be an ideal date, as long as I love the person I am with.

What is your favorite color?
Any and all bright colors. They are all so nice and happy. They make me feel warm inside.

What are your hobbies?
I have an old stamp collection from my late father. I haven’t really added much too it, but I love looking through it. Does that count?

Do you have any pets?
I have seven goldfish. Their names are Liesl, Friedrich, Louisa, Kurt, Brigitta, Marta, and Gretl.

What’s your favorite cocktail?
Shirley Temple. So sweet.

Are you a morning person or a night owl?
Mornings are wonderful. You get to see the whole world wake up and get a fresh start every day. I like fresh starts.

Are you an adventurous person?
Not really. I like hearing about other people’s adventures, but it’s not for me.

Do you believe in love at first sight?
I don’t know. I love the idea of getting swept off my feet by just looking at someone, but it hasn’t ever happened to me.

Do you have any nicknames?
My mom used to call me “Little Dove” when I was younger. She always told me that Malcolm means dove, but I don’t know if that is true.

If you had 3 wishes from a genie, what would you wish for?
1. The ability to instantly become friends with every person I see or meet.
2. Two giant houses next to each other. One for me and one for my mom.
3. For everyone in the world to be happy.

What are your favorite recipes?
Eggs and Bacon. They are are super easy to make and taste amazing every time.

What kind of things do you like to do for fun?
Watching old movies with mom at night. We like most older movies, but musicals are the best. Everything is so happy and nice in musicals.

What are your turn ons?
Being loved because of all my quirks, not in spite of them.

What are your turn-offs?
Jerks and mean people. And piercings.

“A loser becomes, for just a few minutes, a winner.” -The New York Times

Six unemployed steelworkers in Buffalo, New York are miserable. They have no cash and no prospects. Meanwhile, they discover their wives going crazy over male strippers. The men set out to make some quick cash showing off their “real men” bodies by becoming strippers themselves. As the guys work through their fears, self-consciousness and anxieties, they find the courage to “let it all hang out.” Based on the cult hit film of the same name and a ten-time Tony Award nominee, The Full Monty is a raucous, pop/rock musical send up of gender expectations and stereotypes that takes it all off in the most anticipated closing number of any show

Playing at Lincoln Center Magnolia Theatre – 417 West Magnolia Street
